BookMatch
Search millions of books by title, author, or topic. Browse curated reading lists and discover your next favourite book.
How BookMatch Works
BookMatch searches the Google Books API, Google’s catalogue of published books. Type a title, author, ISBN or topic and you get up to 12 matching editions with cover, authors, first publication year and the publisher’s description. Search results are cached for 24 hours, so popular queries load instantly.
Not sure what to look for? Browse 12 genres (each runs a Google Books subject search), or start from our hand-picked reading lists of classics, science fiction, non-fiction and thrillers. The blog covers reading habits, how recommendation algorithms work and world literature.
